Buzz Band's repertoire consists of songs made popular by Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ray Charles and Nat King Cole, along with tunes from other eras like Bobby Darren, Michael Bubble & Harry Connick Jr. The music can be light instrumental jazz for the cocktail hour and if you feel like dancing or miss the days when 'Swing Was King', jump into vocal-driven danceable tunes till close.
If a larger ensemble is desired, Buzz Band can expand to include additional front line vocalists, percussion instruments and a larger horn section to create a more dynamic sound that is as close to a traditional big band as possible. Or scale down to as small as a quartet (piano, bass, drums and one horn player) to perform for smaller audiences.
